I'll be honest, this Winter was tough on me, and with Covid-19 just starting to ease up, the long-awaited Summer sun in the Pacific Northwest was like a giant breath of fresh air! Now that we have gotten a taste of hot summer weather people are starting to hit the trails again and it's so inspiring to see that. Every Spring I make a list of 4 destinations am going to hike, and two destinations I am going to hike and camp out. Here is the first of my four hiking destinations:
Steam Donkey Loop Trail at Doesewallips State Park in the Olympic National Forest. It's a 2.9-mile trip out and back and is considered an easy route. It will be my first hike of the Summer so I'm going to take it really easy due to my back issues. I chose this trail because it's short and flat. if you are interested in hiking this trail here are some links to the AllTrials website for information. Keep climbing.
